Personal Journey

My name is Dylan Sage. I am a junior freelance  UX/UI designer specializing in the balance of usability and creativity for user interfaces. I have always had an eye for design and a strong sense of how to solve problems and create their solutions. My goal is to enter the professional world of UX / UI design and continue to grow my knowledge and skills in this field.

Career Change

Most of my life I have worked primarily in the food service and hospitality industry.  Through this experience I have gained valuable insight into how people think and how to provide them with the best possible experience from start to finish. I decided to pursue a career in UX/UI design because I wanted to take on a new challenge in my life. I aimed to create a sense of stability and balance that I had not previously found in the industry that I worked in for so long.

Applicable Skills 

My experience is based primarily from my education in UX/UI design gained from the extensive DesignLab course. I am currently working with a client that I met through my final project as a freelance designer. I have a strong foundation in most Figma products and I am continuing to learn and grow my skills as well as familiarizing myself with other useful tools in the world of product design.
